Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our telecommunications company in Lewes. With over 400 employees globally and a key member of our IT team, you will be responsible for the design, test and implementation of projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions. Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, design, and implement networking solutions for telecommunications projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
  2. A mixture of layer 2 and layer 3 networking knowledge, including multicast.
  3. Ensure a smooth and efficient CI/CD process and customer project delivery.
  4. Assembly of and configurating their Control System products, including all interfaces to third-party systems, with a decisive approach to system configuration, backup, and restoration.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, project management, and technical support, to ensure successful project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  6. Configuration of IP Public Address and Voice Alarm systems to interface with Control Systems.
  7. Troubleshoot & maintain knowledgebase for Control System products.
  8. Produce project-specific user reference documentation, maintenance manuals and deployment guides.
  9. Provide technical assistance to customers during project implementation, including training and knowledge transfer.
  10. Adhere to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards, and escalate issues as needed to ensure project success.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelors degree in either Computer Science or Electronic Engineering would be advantageous.
  2. Fully understanding of the CI/CD Process.
  3. Debian or Ubuntu based Linux system administration.
  4. Knowledge of Python or Bash.
  5. PowerShell Scripting knowledge.
  6. Ansible, Docker, Lokki or Grafana an advantage or evidence of other configuration management and observability tools.
  7. Experience with C++ would be an advantage.
